Customer buylist & bounties

A sell-to-us page on your own storefront, and want lists that light up at the counter.

1. Turn the buylist on

  1. Open Buylist in the app's navigation, tick Enable the public buylist, and click Save. The setting ships off.
  2. Choose Offer figures to show (Cash and trade, Cash only, or Trade only) and whether to Show each card's price in the table.
  3. Round offers to whole dollars rounds the computed offer itself. The rounded figure is what the page shows and what you honour at the counter.
  4. Under Public buylist rates, keep Use in-store rates or click Set separate public rates to publish a storefront-only rate card.

The page's address is shown at the bottom of the screen: https://yourstore.myshopify.com/apps/buylist. A custom domain serves the same /apps/buylist path.

2. What your customers do

The page, titled Sell your cards, walks three steps: find your cards (search needs at least 3 letters), your list (quantity and condition per card), and your offer (cash and trade totals, marked "Estimates only — values are subject to change at the counter"). Cards on a want list carry a We pay extra for this card badge. It never says how much or for whom. A customer logged into a store account clicks Submit list for review and gets a reference code; a logged-out visitor is asked to log in first.

3. Submissions land on your Intake screen

A submitted list appears as an intake tab named Online buylist — customer, date. The review is read-only and shows the offers quoted at submission beside current prices. Accept as intake turns it into a normal open intake you edit and push like any counter buy; Decline submission keeps the record but closes it. Nothing is deleted either way.

4. Bounties: want lists that flag matches

  1. Open Buylist → Bounties and answer Who is this bounty for? with A customer (search by name, email, or phone, or click New customer) or Our shop.
  2. Optionally set Pay extra (%) or Minimum cash per card ($). Leave both blank for a highlight with no extra money; an offer already better than these is never reduced.
  3. Search the card and click Add bounty.

When a matching card is staged at intake, the row shows Wanted by: customer or On your want list, plus the premium (e.g. Bounty: +10%) so the operator can explain the offer. Edit offer and Remove sit on each row of the Active bounties list.

5. Let customers file their own requests

On the same Bounties page, the Customer request page card: tick Enable the customer request page (also off by default), set Most copies per request, and Save. Logged-in customers at /apps/buylist/bounty search a card, say how many, and click Add to your requests; each arrives in your Active bounties list with a Customer submitted badge.

Both public pages ship dark: customers get a 404 at /apps/buylist until Enable the public buylist is ticked, and at /apps/buylist/bounty until the request page is enabled. Flip the toggles before you print either URL anywhere.
